The Meal
Marketing for the ingredients,
Enjoying the company that i have.
Sniffing at the various herbs and spices,
Laughing at the absurd missing yellow lemons.
Starting the fire, heating the pan,
I stood by the side, watching in awe.
Washing up, clearing the space,
I attempted to assist to the best I can.
Savoring the tenderness of the roast chicken,
It's juiciness melts right into the heart.
Slurping the buttery wine of the pot mussels,
It's freshness sparks the spirit of the soul.
Believe me, I've enjoyed thoroughly...
