In the midst of my dreams, I heard the alarm ringing.
5 more minutes I told myself, then I remembered,
And woke up with a startle…
Something feels different today,
Something great is happening today,
Something that I’ve waited for has finally arrived.

At the studio, as the makeup artist whips out her brushes and colours,
Anticipation feels my mind.
Peeping occasionally at the mirror,
Excitement creeps up my spine.

I stepped into the car parking by the road,
Looking forward to see his reactions.
With my new look and dress,
Hoping earnestly to leave an impression.

Hand in hand we walked into the restaurant,
Heads turn and eyes lingered.
Today is our day,
Today belongs to us.

Exchange of vows and rings,
Under the witness of many friends.
Moment of kiss,
